Hello,<\/p>\n

I am a labour and education economist.<\/p>\n

I have been collaborating for many years with the OECD’s education indicators project; until end of 2016, I chaired one of two networks developing indicators of education (“INES Network on Labour Market, Economic and Social Outcomes of Learning” [LSO Network]), the ones you find in OECD flagship publication Education at a Glance (EAG)<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Over the more than last 35 years, I have worked with the Economic Council of Canada (1979-1985 and 1990-1992), the Employment Policy Division at the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development [OECD] (1985-1987), as an associate researcher at the Japan Institute of Labour, Tokyo, Japan (1988-1990), at the Canadian Labour Force Development Board (1993-1995), at Statistics Canada (1995-2003 and 2006-2012, essentially leading the development work on education indicators), and at Canadian Policy Research Network (CPRN, 2003-2006).<\/p>\n

My research activities have covered many issues related to different aspects of human resources, such as transitions from school to employment, youth labour market, dynamics of the labour market, human capital development, determinants of school performance; such questions were approached both in the national context and in international comparisons. Several of my articles and papers are available through the ResearchGate <\/a>portal.<\/p>\n
